"When you help a child today, you write the history of tomorrow." - Father Flanagan, Founder of Boys Town
Roots & Wings offers a 6-week parenting course.
We use Common Sense Parenting (c), an evidence-based parent skills-building training developed by Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska. This course, designed for parents raising school-age children, will teach skills in the areas of improved communication, effective discipline, decision-making, relationship building, self-control, and school success.
Common Sense Parenting (c) meets the requirements of court-ordered parenting classes from the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Social Services court systems. There is also seating for voluntary admissions as well.
The fee for attending a 6-week session is $150.00 unless you are referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice or by the Department of Social Services.
The referring agencies are notified of the participant's attendance and activity in the session.
We do NOT offer childcare services or transportation.
