Interpersonal Skills
Roots and Wings Interpersonal Skills program offers an array of opportunities for youths to learn and develop valuable skills that they will need and use in their day-to-day lives.
Here at Roots and Wings, we use the ARISE evidence-based curriculum to assist us in teaching and promoting a healthy lifestyle and healthy choices. Our program offers readily available tools to assist youth in managing daily challenges and the demands of an adolescent adult world.

Community Service & Restitution
Roots and Wings Community Service & Restitution program is implemented to provide opportunities for juveniles to be accountable for their actions to the community and/or victims through performing supervised community service work and/or monetary payment within the timeline stipulated by the referring agency.
Law Enforcement can refer juveniles to Community Service without having to go through DJJ.
Alamance Juvenile Opportunity Bridge (AJOB)
Reading Buddies
Roots and Wings partners with local elementary schools within Person County to conduct a youth program called Reading Buddies.
Volunteers from the community will be assigned a buddy; volunteers and their buddies will read, do lessons, and play games during their allotted time. The basis for the Reading Buddies Program is to improve reading levels, within younger grades.
All Programs are held following the school systems schedule. If school is closed due to weather or outside factors Roots and Wings will act accordingly.
Roots and Wings also provides transportation for all youths within the programs, except Reading Buddies.
